- Service on advisory committees and evaluation panels for the government, nonprofit foundations, and educational organizations.
- Limited and approved personal, non-University consulting or advisory committee services.
- Holding an office in a professional or scholarly society.
- Acting as an editor or reviewer for a professional society journal.
- Preparing chapters, textbooks or monographs related to teaching, research, or other University mission-based activities.
- Limited and approved lectures, colloquia or seminars at colleges and universities and professional societies.
- Evaluation of colleagues at other colleges and universities through participation in program evaluations and tenure and promotion reviews.
